Alessandro (Alex) born on July 1999 in Saint Mande (Paris).
Alex started at the age of 4 to enjoy karting in Finland (Espoo), where the family was residing for professional reasons of his father, followed by kids racing event.
Alex’s family relocated to Italy when He was 6. Alex continued to practice the sport in Italy, where He started serious racing at the age of 8 in the EasyKart class by Birel. He then went through the 60cc class at National level and also International level in World Series Karting (WSK) races until the age of 12.
Alex moved to International KFJ class at the age of 13, where He did race until mid-2013 as Top-Kart Driver (with few races in 2013 with Formula K) and attending races of the WSK, CIKFIA European Championship and CIKFIA World Championship.
Since the age of 4 He was clear that Alex had talented driving abilities. When He stated to race He was immediately fast on track and developed racing skill along the years. Until the age of 9 the racing teams was Alex and his father, but it became soon clear that it was not enough and so it was the budget as the Alex’s family is a modest one. Thank you to the help of some sponsors Alex was able to enter in a racing team, still with his father as mechanic to better exploit the available budget that was anyway not enough to have access to the best material when moving to International KFJ class.
When Alex was 12, racing in 60cc, Mika Hakkinen was watching him racing with his son Hugo and He ended up to ask their team to get Alex for the Siena trophy as Hugo’s reference and team mate. There were so many drivers, but Alex was the choice. Now Alex and his family are living in Doha (Qatar), but He does not have the possibility to practice the sport as there is no karting in Qatar. However, the Alex’s racing passion is stronger than a missing karting track in his hosting country, He is physically preparing in the gym and playing some football then He is racing in United Arab Emirates Rotax Max Championship as Driver of Tony Kart UAE racing team. He also attends the KF CIKFIA World Championship events in Europe, compatible with his family limited budget as moving to Doha meant no more sponsors.
“I am very grateful and there are no words to express my gratitude to my family, they have scarified and still are scarifying a lot to allow me racing kart. I will never forget my father working as my mechanic during the racing weekends and then driving all night long to get back to work on Monday morning, and get me to school. I know I can make it, I’m very fast and I will try all what is possible to make the jump to Formula racing.”
